I’ve just received a Nokia Lumia 800 (black) for review purpose. To start with, I would like to share some “unboxing” photos.

I’ve used the Nokia X1-01 for quite some time. The reason I actually bought this phone is because it is a DUAL SIM phone. Yes, I was really fed up carrying 2 phones everywhere and thought that a dual sim phone will solve my problem.
I never expect that a dual sim phone will make this much of difference to me, seriously. At first, I didn’t expect much generally from a dual sim phone but after using it, I appreciate that such phone exists for 2 reasons – I no longer need to carry 2 different phones, check both phones’ screens whether got any missed calls, smses etc. Secondly, it is obviously less costly to spend on one phone than two phones, even in future as in maintenance, accessories, repairs etc.

Celcom is also offering the Nokia Lumia 800 together with DiGi and Maxis. From the image above, you already have a clear idea on what Celcom has got to offer.
It is together with Celcom’s Exec plan and price of the phone depends on which plan you choose as well as the contract period. There is no 24 months contract from Celcom which I think is good because it is just too long if you ask me.
More information at Celcom’s website.

The Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 were launched yesterday in Malaysia. The launch event was grandly held in Pavilion, KL yesterday.
Now, you can get these phones not only from Nokia stores, but also from some popular telcos in Malaysia. Maxis is one of them.

I just realised that DiGi has ended their pre-order for Nokia Lumia 800. There is something unusual this time compared to DiGi’s previous pre-order endings.
If you see, they have completely removed Nokia Lumia 800 from their website (except for the banner above which is shown at their home page). This phone has also been removed from their online store. All the pricing details has been removed and obviously something is wrong somewhere.
The official price for Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 is revealed. Well, it is not a big surprise here because those prices were already “leaked” by some websites about 10-15 days ago.
The best part here is, this particular store in Johor Bahru is doing a stock clearance. Well, not all the phones are actually cheap. Some devices e.g. the Nokia Asha 200 was already RM255 when it was launched. I don’t see what they mean by stock clearance for this phone.
However, many other phones, such as the Nokia N9 and some of the Symbian phones, are sold at quite a good deal. This is the time to grab them
. I am not sure whether this offer is applicable in other stores (which looks unlikely anyway) but I will check in stores nearby.

If you are using the phones mentioned above, then you have a good news. You can now update your phone to Symbian Nokia Belle.
If you are thinking that this upgrade will not make any difference compared to previous versions, then it is a MUST to perform this update because you will be proven wrong
.
DiGi has started their pre-order today for the Nokia Lumia 800, the first Windows Phone from Nokia. From this, we also got to know the RRP (recommended retail price) which is set at RM1650.
