This time, I am just ranting here. I feel so frustrated with TM @ Telekom Malaysia for their useless and low quality service.

I’ve applied for UNIFI about a month ago. As usual, I need to set an appointment and wait for a month (because TM pretend as if they are very busy but actually they are not). Well, I can’t do anything about that and so, I’ve set an appointment for 22nd of October which was yesterday.

Two days before the date of installation (which was Thursday), someone from TM called me (from the number 03-78840688) to confirm my appointment (yeah right, as if I am going to lock my house and hide somewhere). Well, they actually called on Wednesday from the number 03-22465000 but I couldn’t pick up the call. This is just for your info.

Finally, the day came. I’ve set an appointment for 9:30 in the morning and so, I’ve prepared everything at home while waiting for the agent from TM to come. I waited and waited and waited but nobody turned up. Finally it was 1pm and I said, “forget about it, I am already late to work.”

Once I’ve reached my office, the agent finally called. It was sharp at 1:35pm when he called and the number was 017-9656181. The moment I picked up the call, the person said, “sorry, lambat SEDIKIT” (which translates to sorry, slightly late). What the hell? The delay was for 4 hours and how can he say SLIGHTLY late? I asked him the same question but he couldn’t answer. Finally he told me that he had to go to another 2 places to install UNIFI service. Again, what the F***? Why do he want to set an appointment with me at 9:30 in the morning but go elsewhere?

The reason I post this up is because this is not the first time. In fact, I never had any good experience with TM’s service. I’ve also complained about their service before at HERE. Well, it didn’t stop there (continuing with what happened after the incident at the given link). They charged me about RM10 to RM15 extra in my 1st bill and when I called the customer service, they told me that it is for stamp duty. When I told them that I’ve paid stamp duty in cash and I have a bill for that, they went mum. The 1st agent that I’ve spoken to has promised to forward the case to the backend but he didn’t do it. After 1 week, I have to call again and repeat my complaint. This other person was also not able to answer me and so, has promised to forward the case to the backend. Time passed, and after 4 months I’ve received an official letter from TM. Guess what, the answer was same as what the 1st agent and 2nd agent answered me at first, which was, “it was for stamp duty, thank you”.

Since then, I purposely delay my bill payments only to TM. They are so stupid, useless and unreliable. Each time they do a mistake (which they always do in my case), I have to face the losses.

Recently when I’ve decided to install UNIFI service for my company, I also had a same appointment issue. I’ve set an appointment at 12pm but the agents came to my office at nearly 5pm (when the office was closing). Because of that, I end up waiting for them while they finish installing the service (which took until 9pm).

After that, I had numerous issues with the UNIFI service in my office. So many complaints have been made but no action was taken. Finally, the internet service totally went down at one point. We made more than 10 complaints but no action was taken for FOUR DAYS. Hey, it was an office and people couldn’t work for 4 days just because of TM. Finally I got so pissed off where I spoke very harsh to them (with vulgar words) but I did not regret for what I’ve done because it worked. Immediately after 2 hours, the technician from UNIFI came and changed the modem.

Why do they only start to work when I be harsh to them? Why are they so lazy? Aren’t they getting their salary? Furthermore, during installation and when there was a technical issue, about 5 to 6 people will come to fix it. Only 1 or 2 people will be actually working and the rest will be sitting there for nothing and chatting. It is all a total waste of resources. Such a poor management I see in TM.

Ever since then, I always feel that there is no point talking to them nicely. You have to scold them, curse them and use vulgar words so that these people work. Yes, be rude to them. Shout at them. Scream at them on the phone. Only then they will work.

Arghh…I am tired of arguing with them. Conclusion – TM UNIFI/STREAMYX sucks. They are the worst company that I’ve ever seen. So stupid, idiotic, useless and lazy.

Trying to get Unifi in the batu berendam industrial area here. What you mentioned for their customer service is true indeed. They need a good bashing of “kind” words in order to get a move on their services. We need a competitor to give a run for the kind of moolah they are getting from households and businesses.

However with that being said I did come across some operators who are good folks. Good practice to ask for their name (technicians specifically) when dealing with outskirt places (e.g. Melaka) in case one might need help to check on service availability/status.

Agree with the top. Been using UniFi for 3 months now. 1st month no problems. 2nd month, always the disconnecting issue (as in there’s connectivity and then no connectivity, etc. etc.) Called Unifi to send a technician, waited like almost 2 weeks and finally they sent a guy. He came, plugged his laptop and said, “I checked and found out that you on and off your switch, that’s why connection got problem”. I told him that my house had a blackout and if this issue is going to happen again if there was another blackout, and he said wont. 1 week after he left, there was a very heavy thunderstorm and my fusebox tripped. This time, the Wireless symbol on the modem was gone. Called them again and they said that it was probably an issue with the configuration. So, the person on the phone asked me to press the ‘Reset’ button on the back of the modem, which I did, and no changes. So had to call Unifi yet again, and they said they will send over a technician the following day, which of course, you guessed it, the technician FFK and didnt show up, and of cos I wasted my annual leave. Called them again and really f*** them up for that, and they did sent a technician the following morning after, which I had to take half-day leave.
They technician came configured something and then moved the modem, router, phone, etc etc around my table and the Wireless symbol lit up.
Been ok since then, up till 20th November 2011, where the connectivity is on and off again, like connecting and then disconnecting. How I know? Cos’ i play multiplayer games in my cousin’s house where he is using streamyx and I NEVER, repeat NEVER NEVER got disconnected from the game server. With my Unifi back home playing Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer, guarantee you every 2 games, sure disconnect from the server and get kicked out into the lobby.
Tired of calling them again, cos they sure give out some lame excuse or crap reasoning.
All I can say is, to UNIFI, your advertisements are a bloody CON job and your workers and staffs are good for nothing pieces of s**t. Go f*** yourselves, UNIFI and hope the place where you guys are working in, explode and you all become a statistic!!
