U Mobile’s prepaid BIS (BlackBerry) price revised. Pay just RM5.50/week or RM19/month.

Whenever somebody asks me on why am I using a BlackBerry, I will always mention the monthly BIS price as one of the reason. It is a lot more affordable compared to normal mobile internet plans that the telcos are offering.

To make it even more attractive, U Mobile has taken a step forward to offer BIS for just RM5.50 per week or RM19 per month. That will be the cheapest that I could think off for now. The daily rate however, was not revised probably because it is already low enough. The best part is, you can stream YouTube videos.

I am just concerned about the coverage though. I’ve not used their service yet but since the price is really attractive, I will probably give a try. Is anyone else using U Mobile’s prepaid BlackBerry service? What is your opinion?

    Honestly i’ve been using UMobile BIS for quite sometime, back when it was RM40/mth. It never dissapoint me ever since. The coverage within KL vicinity never let me down. Outside of mentioned region is yet to be discovered. I even have the thought of converting my main number from other telco to UMobile just to enjoy their affordable rates. Be it a Blackberry user or others (I’ve even tried the monthly data plan on my SE X10i), UMobile definitely the best (for myself that is) BIS and data plan provider period. Just keep up the good service and those affordable plans and you will merge as the next giant service provider in Malaysia.
