Those who are interested to get a HTC Flyer will probably be happy with this. The device was previously priced at RRP RM2499 and now, the price has been reduced to RM2099 (less RM400). But then, I am just wondering on who will be happy with this? OK, let’s be a little positive. How many of you are happy with the price reduction that you are going to grab one tomorrow?

Back when the Flyer was introduced, the RRP of RM2499 was already way too expensive because at that time, there were a lot of better tablets in the market with cheaper price. Some of the examples are Asus Eee Pad Transformer and Acer Iconia Tab which comes with dual-core processor and runs on Android Honeycomb.

Even the 1st Android tablet @ Samsung Galaxy Tab is just RM1599 for the 3G version. So who will bother going for the Flyer? And now with the reduction of RM400 in price, does that make any difference? Very unlikely.

HTC obviously failed to see that the market for android tablets is in a state of flux. The Galaxy Tab 7 3g wifi is selling for only RM1599, dropping from its initial price November 2010 of RM2699 !

Eee pad (wifi only ) 10.1 is only going for RM1799 with dock !

HTC flyer should be priced RM1499 to have any chance to compete, sorry if they have to lose money to do that

Then Galaxy Tab 10.1 ( banned in Europe ) will surely be sold at jaw dropping price in Asia to strike deep against the iPad

    Tab 10.1 3g wifi RM1799 in Malaysia ? :)
