Earlier, HTC has announced that the HTC Desire will not be getting its Gingerbread due to limited memory. Now, they have came up with a way to install Gingerbread to HTC Desire but it will have some limitations so that they can squeeze in the Android 2.3 OS into this smartphone.

Below is what they have said in their Facebook page :

To resolve Desire’s memory issue and enable the upgrade to Gingerbread, we will cut select apps from the release. Look for status updates starting next week. We apologize for any confusion.

Anyway, it is good to see the people behind HTC trying their level best to keep their customers happy. So HTC Desire users, you have no reason to dump your smartphone (yet).

Thanks to Alan for the update :) .
