Do you know that U Mobile has recently introduced an “unlimited” internet plan for its prepaid users? Well, unlimited in this case is :

1) you can still continue using your internet AFTER exceeding the bandwidth quota (500mb). It is just that your internet’s speed will drop from 14.4mbps (maximum speed but not practical :P ) to a merely 64kbps.

2) you will not be charged extra if you continue using the internet after finishing your 500mb quota.

Well, I personally think that RM28 for a MOBILE INTERNET is a good deal, if you are OK with the speed. Please take note that U Mobile’s 3G coverage is not wide enough and you have to get settled with EDGE speed from its domestic roaming partner @ Celcom if you are not within U Mobile’s 3G coverage area.

By the way, did I informed you about the FREE minutes and smses? :)

(please click on the image for a larger view)

You will be given FREE 100 minutes for voice calls (any domestic number) & 30 smses (any domestic number). The best part about this is, you do not need to worry about not finishing up your freebies. Any unused minutes/smses will be carried to the following month. Well, that is only applicable for voice minutes and smses but not for the data (fair enough). Oh, I also have a bad news for you. There is a limit on how much voice minutes and smses that you can carry forward. Your account can only have a TOTAL of 200 minutes of voice calls and 60 smses.

Let’s say you did not use any minutes/sms on the 1st month. You will be given another 100 minutes for calls & 30 smses. Well, that is already sum up to 200 minutes & 60 smses. So you better make use of the freebies :P .

Now, how to subscribe to this unlimited internet? All you have to do is just go to *118# and activate from there by selecting “3″ for unlimited mobile internet and then “1″ to confirm. Please take note that your subscription will be auto-renewed every month unless you unsubscribe manually. Also, you must have enough credit and also validity up to 30 days before subscribing to the mobile internet.
