When Facebook newly launched this “Places” feature, those who are staying in Malaysia were not able to use it. You will always see something like, “this feature is currently not available for your region”.

Now, you no longer get that message . I’ve tried in iPhone, Android and even BlackBerry. There is no issue using it anymore.

Well, if you are wondering what is Facebook Places all about, it is similar to Foursquare where you post your current location in Twitter/Facebook.

So, since the Facebook Places is now up for Malaysians, would you still stick to Foursquare or jump over to Facebook Places?

If you ask me, I will still use Foursquare for now. It has tips etc about a location which Facebook is yet to have.

Anyway, whether it is Facebook Places or Foursquare, please use them cautiously. It can sometimes put you into trouble.
