When DiGi launched its Easy Prepaid Plan before, we are allowed to call 3 of our Buddyz numbers for FREE, remember? Yes, it was free day and night but now it is no more. DiGi has made changes to Buddyz where you can still make FREE calls but it is only going to be from 12am to 8pm.

Well, that is not too bad I see but why is that change for? I always think hundred times before taking up any DiGi prepaid plans because they will eventually get from bad to worse. I assume that DiGi realise a lot of Easy Prepaid users are making use of their free calls from 8:01pm – 11:59pm and that will be a good time to make some quick bucks. It is quite frustrating because it is not the 1st time. :(

So, what has the new DiGi Easy Prepaid plan got to offer? Well, everything else will be the same except for the FREE calls time for Buddyz. Below is the revised plan :

Now, the good news is…….EXISTING DiGi Easy Prepaid users are NOT affected yet. The change is only applicable for new subscribers and the existing users can still enjoy the free calls for the whole day until DiGi come up with another excuse to discontinue this plan.

UPDATE 28/2/2011 – It has also been confirmed that new DiGi Easy Prepaid users will not have FnF (Friends N Family) feature. You have to get settled with just 3 Buddyz and that’s it.

      Hi Ed,

No, I don’t think so. I’ve checked the FAQ from DiGi’s website and below is what I’ve found :

“If the Subscriber exceeds the usage of 60 hours a month of FREE Calls, DiGi reserves the right to disable the Buddyz call feature without any notice. As such, the Subscriber shall continue the service thereafter without the Buddyz feature. It must be emphasized that DiGi shall not provide any notice whatsoever to the Subscriber prior to or after exceeding such limit.”
