Many of you would have already know by now that I was selected for Maxis10 reviewers program. It was a great pleasure to have the HTC Desire Z in hand eventhough it is just for 2 weeks
I don’t do any review without trying the phone thoroughly. So you can’t expect an review from me anytime soon, but for a start, I will share some pictures of HTC Desire Z. Do you want to know on what comes with the package when you buy this phone? Then you are at the right place

- Memory : 1.5Gb (internal storage). RAM is 512Mb
- Display size : 3.7 inches
- Features : GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, Micro USB port, 5 Megapixel camera
- Expandable memory with Micro SD slot
What comes in the package when you buy a authorised HTC Desire Z?

- 8Gb Micro SD card (memory card)
I was never a fan of touch screen. I always get tensed up when I type any messages or reply any email via a touch screen phone. Due to the screen size of a touch screen phone, the percentage of error while typing is just too high for me. That was the reason for me to get settled with Samsung Galaxy Tab as the screen is big and it is easier to poke on the alphabets.
This HTC Desire Z solves that problem. It comes with a touch screen as well as a keyboard and hopefully it will make a difference to my messaging experience.
Below are some photos of Maxis HTC Desire Z for you :

Ah, that is the 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus and single LED flash.
Next to the camera is the loudspeaker. I am not sure how loud the sound will be when you place your phone facing front on a table.
There is a micro USB port on the bottom right
Volume rocker, at the top right
At the left bottom of the phone, you can find two buttons (image above). The bottom one is the camera shutter key and the top one is the battery cover lock.
The 3.5mm audio jack and the power button is placed at the top of the phone. The power button also serves as the lock button when your phone is on.
The microphone is placed at the bottom of the phone. Can you see a small hole at the right? Make sure that you don’t block that hole while talking on the phone
Touch sensitive optical trackpad? Cool, it reminds me of Blackberry Bold 9700
Those who dislike messaging etc using the touch screen can make use of the keyboard instead.
That is the mechanism that makes the keyboard slide out. By the way, when you slide the keyboard out, it is made such way that the screen will lift up (photo above).
The memory card slot is below the battery. The Maxis HTC Dezire Z comes with 8Gb memory card
What else comes in the box? There was a manual, warranty card……..Erm, hey, the phone is warrantied by Brightstar
It also comes with the usual accessories – charger, handsfree and USB cable.
That is all the preview from me. Well, there is more to say about this phone. Keep in touch with me via my blog to know more about this Maxis HTC Desire Z. If you would like to know more about the plan offered by Maxis for this phone, feel free to check it out at HERE.
