When it comes to launching new phones, Maxis will usually be the 1st telco. There are times where Celcom never got into the ‘race’ and as for DiGi, they are always the last to launch a particular phone as how it is perceived by customers. As I see, this is the 1st time Maxis is launching a phone much later than Celcom and DiGi.

Well, it is not too late (hopefully). It is just recently where all the telcos launched the most awaited Blackberry phone, the Torch 9800. Launching another model immediately after that will not be a good move, especially when it comes to Blackberry.

Ok, now let’s see what has Maxis got to offer.

The recommended retail price (RRP) set by maxis for this device is RM1899. It is the same with Bold 9700′s RRP. Looking at it, most likely the Bold 9700 will be kicked out from Maxis’s Blackberry family soon.

If you are already using a Maxis postpaid plan, you just need to pay RM2259 for the phone + 12 months subscription of BIS (worth RM360).

For prepaid users @ Hotlink users, you can enjoy this phone too. All you need to pay is just RM2079 which is inclusive the price of the phone and 6 months subscription of BIS (worth RM180).
