I just came back from HTC’s official launch event. Will post the even happenings later
Now, let’s take a look at the phone details. The HTC Desire HD and Desire Z were launched just a day after their Windows Phone 7 device, the HTC HD7′s launch. Have you seen my preview report about the HTC HD7? If no, feel free to take a look at HERE.
As for the HTC Desire HD and Desire Z, I am surprised that both are priced at RM2299 respectively. Erm, not sure whether there is a mistake there because the Desire Z is inferior compared to the Desire HD if we compare the specifications side by side. Is it because the Desire Z has a physical keyboard which makes the price to be high?
Anyway, the price is definitely competitive, at least for the HTC Desire HD. I’ve checked a few places for an ‘imported’ set or ‘ap’ set, and the Desire HD was sold at RM2799. Well, the Desire Z was only about RM2099. So, what do you think? Are the prices competitive? Hey, even the HTC HD7 Windows Phone 7 is being sold at RM2399 by Maxis.
For me, the HTC Desire HD is definitely a good buy
. By the way, there was a rumor that Maxis will have the exclusivity for HTC Desire Z while HTC Desire HD will be sold openly, and well, you can get it from DiGi too
.
Pre-order (interest registration) by DiGi for HTC Desire HD has already started. Here is the LINK.
