Good. Finally, Maxis has also revealed their pricing structure for the new Blackberry Torch 9800. Well, by looking at the website, have they changed the overall pricing structure for BIS? Hey, before they used to offer in a bundled package including BIS isn’t it? So is it more expensive or cheaper now?

Maxis has set their RRP at RM2299. Looking at the contract, if you take up BIS Standard + a 12 months contract, you only save RM200. There is not much savings anyway. Well, this is fine if you are sure that you are not going to change your phone for the next 12 months.

By looking at their page, I have some doubts.

1) Looks like they are not offering Blackberry Torch 9800 for prepaid (at least for now).

2) If you scroll down, you will see that BIS standard is cheaper for Bold 9700 and Curve 8520. It is only RM45. Why is there a difference in price for the same plan? Is it some kind of promotion or an error? Below is a screen shot which shows that BIS Standard is RM45 for Bold 9700 and Curve 8520.

I will try to get some answers from Maxis regarding this

UPDATE 1/11/2010 :

Well, Maxis has got back to me regarding the RM45 for Blackberry Bold 9700 and Curve 8520. Looks like it was a mistake and has been corrected. So the BIS Standard will be RM55 per month.

They have also mentioned that the Blackberry Torch is only available for outright purchase at RRP if you are a prepaid @ Hotlink user. No special offers for Blackberry Torch at the moment.
