Finally, Maxis has released Blackberry Curve 3G too. Celcom was the 1st to release this gadget here. DiGi, unfortunately, still having their interest registration. I always see that they are the slowest in everything. Well, I think that they want to see what competitors got to offer & then come up with a better deal.

Maxis has released 2 pricing structure, which is for postpaid & prepaid. As for postpaid, they are selling the phone for RM1659 which includes 12 months BIS subscription. Since the RRP is RM1299, Maxis is charging RM360 for BIS Advance plan. You can save as much as RM1080 if you take up the plan with phone because the actual price for BIS Advance is RM120 per month which will be equal to RM1440 for 12 months.

As for prepaid, only 6 months BIS subscription given on an offer price. It is worth RM180 for 6 months. So the price of the whole package including phone will be RM1479. BIS monthly plan for prepaid is RM98 which will be equal to RM588 for 6 months. If I calculate, I only make a savings of RM408 & not RM480 as how stated by Maxis. Erm, can anyone let me know how did Maxis got that figure?

Overall you may feel as if Maxis is charging much higher compared to Celcom but if you calculate including BIS plan, it is actually cheaper.

So, what is your call? Are you going for this gadget?
