Nowadays when DiGi gives something for FREE, I need to think twice, “how long will it be free?” Anyway, if it could benefit you until it is no longer free, then this is still useful isn’t it? ;)

So what is exactly free with DiGi Easy Prepaid? Have you heard of Friends & Family (FnF) ? I am sure all DiGi users are familiar with this.  They still retain FnF in the new prepaid plan but only limited to 3 numbers. Does it look bad? Actually no, because the other 3 number is under their new feature which is called “Buddyz”. Alright, what the heck is this Buddyz? This is where things comes for FREE :) . For these 3 Buddyz numbers, you can call and sms for free.

Not only that, you will also get 10 FREE sms to any network when you reload RM10 :) . Yeah, it is all for free (but hopefully they don’t come up with silly restriction later like how they did for DiGi Campus). Oh ya, another thing that is worth to mention. You will only be charged a maximum of RM3 per day for your internet usage (the old plan was RM5 maximum, am I right? )

Maxis has worked together with AirAsia to launch in-flight services. So what is this in-flight services? Usually if you board a plane, you are not allowed to use your mobile phone due to some interferences with flight systems. When this happens, you can’t make any emergency calls or send sms. If you are waiting for an important new business phone call, your new business is gone in the air too :P

So that is the purpose of this in-flight services. It is not only about calls & sms, you can even use your mobile internet while flying :) .All you have to do is to wait for the “phone use prohibited” sign to go off & then on your phone. Viola, you can already use your phone (this is only applicable in selected AirAsia flights).

About last month, TM have decided to start charging an installation fee of RM200 to new UNIFI subscribers. They have also given a date of the implementation which is on the 1st of October 2010 (another 2 more days to go :) ).

Now, have they changed their mind not to implement it? Erm, partially yes. They are still going to charge RM200 installation fee except for UNIFI VIP 20 & BIZ 20 subscribers.

This announcement was made via their Twitter page. For those who are planning to subscribe to UNIFI but not taking up VIP 20 or BIZ 20, you may want to rush to the nearest TM Point to subscribe before 1st of October.

Well, for those who stay outside Klang Valley, it is unfortunate because you can’t subscribe to UNIFI yet :( . Hopefully TM have some kind of promotion when they launch UNIFI in other states.

Blackberry has unveiled their latest tablet PC which is called the Blackberry Playbook. The word “play” in the Playbook caught my attention. Since everyone have the impression that Blackberry is a serious business, I guess Blackberry has purposely set the name as such to tell us that they can do more than just business :)

It comes with some good specs on the paper. The Blackberry Playbook supports Adobe Flash 10 which is a very good news for those who surf flash websites. Blackberry also tells us that the Playbook also comes with Dual-core processor which makes it the world’s fastest tablet for now :) . Others features are such as multi-tasking feature & face-to-face conversations (something like iPhone’s FaceTime?)

U Mobile & Ericsson has announced their launch of 42Mbps mobile broadband service at Berjaya Times Square, yesterday. According to them, it uses Dual-Carrier HSPA (High-Speed Packet Access) connections that allow the network to send and receive wireless data using two channels simultaneously to achieve download speeds of up to 42Mbps.

NOTE : They have note even started yet. So you may need to be a bit patient until they fully set up which will not take ages, I hope :) . Well, is this service only available at Berjaya Times Square? No, they are kicking off this service there but will expand it to other areas within Klang Valley in few weeks time :)

I am not sure how is the subscription like. This is just an initial announcement. Hopefully I can get more good news from U Mobile :)

Mozilla Thunderbird? Oops, no….it is Mozilla Seabird. Erm, Mozilla Seabird mobile phone? Is Mozilla getting into mobile phone business too? I wish they do but no, they are not. Then what is the hype about Mozilla Seabird?

It is actually a concept supported by Mozilla Labs & designed by Billy May. They named it Seabird. In case you are still wondering what is this phone all about, it is not a phone or not going to be an actual physical phone anytime soon. To be exact, it is an “open web concept phone”

So what is a “open web concept phone”?  Well, it is just an idea…a thought….an imagination of how people can use their mobile phone to interact in the future when technology gets more advanced.

Hi all. Do you remember the last time when I blogged something about the FREE iphone bumper case? In case you have forgotten, here is the LINK.

Based on the announcement made by Apple, you will not get a free iPhone bumper case for any iPhone purchase after the 30th of September 2010. So if you have purchased your iPhone recently from Maxis or DiGi, are you suppose to get your bumper case? Erm, it is a yes & no :)

Maxis & DiGi does not provide those cases. Apple doesn’t give them in the 1st place to them. Hey, but you SHOULD get one for free. It is not fair if you don’t get it when you actually bought your iPhone before the 30th of September :(

No worries, there is actually a way to still get it. Do you want to know how?

STEP 1 : You need to go to this website (LINK)

STEP 2 : The instructions are all given there. You just need to register yourself for the free case & it will be shipped to you within the next 2-4 weeks :)

There is also another way where you can do it from your iphone itself where you can go to AppStore & look for “case program”.

Now, the main thing about this claiming process is, you can’t actually use your Malaysia address for claiming purpose. Yeah, that is a very unfair thing isn’t it? However, there are loopholes where if you have any friend of relatives staying in Singapore, you can just give that address during registration :)

Do you want a FREE iPhone 4 from DiGi? I want an iPhone 4 too. Well, never mind, I will let go the golden opportunity this time. Hey, but I would like to share the opportunity with you :)

Before that, I have some questions for you? Do you blog? Alright, if you don’t, then you might consider starting one. You can just start a free blog from Blogger or WordPress. Now, my 2nd question is, have you heard of Nuffnang? I am sure every blogger knows what is Nuffnang all about :)

They are having a contest about DiGi iPhone 4 and the winner gets a brand new iPhone 4 (I am not sure whether it is a 16Gb or 32Gb. Any idea?). All you have to do is to fulfill 4 tasks & you stand a chance to win :) (whoops, so many 4)
