Starting from 1st October 2010 onwards, installation of UNIFI is no longer free. You will be charged an additional of RM200 for just the installation. However, it can be done divided to 5 months installment where you will be paying RM40 every month in your bill for the 1st 5 months. The so called good news according to TM is, all the equipments like router, DECT phone, IPTV set up box etc is actually worth up to RM800 but they will still give them for free.

There is another 1 month to go & after that it will be charged. How am I to subscribe for UNIFI when it is not even available in my area? Currently it is only available in part of Klang Valley area.

The monthly fee is already very high. With additional 1 time fee of RM200, it makes me think twice to take up this plan. This UNIFI is definitely not for lower income group & some middle income group too. Furthermore, not all will make use of the additional IPTV package. So why not TM comes up with a basic plan which exclude the unnecessary add-on. By doing so, the price will be much affordable.
