Have you heard of Education Partner Program (EPP) by YTL Communications? UTAR has joined the program as well by signing an agreement with YTL Comms to deploy a 4G network coverage in their whole UTAR campus in Kampar.

Advert :

If you are an UTAR student but not from Kampar campus, not to worry. Once the 4G network has been successfully implemented in Kampar, it will be done in Setapak campus, Petaling Jaya campus & Sg Long campus as well :)

For your information, UTAR will be the 1st private university to join this EPP. What is the benefit of joining this program? All UTAR students can enjoy high speed broadband internet access anywhere within the campus.

There is not much details that I can find from the website e.g. whether there is any extra charge, is it part of the student fees or does it work like the current WiFi etc.

If you would like to know more about this, feel free to visit this site – http://www.ytlcomms.my/EN/news_details.aspx?id=23

I suppose this is part of YTL’s WiMAX network. Wondering how can it differentiate UTAR students from normal subscribers. I am afraid UTAR students have to subscribe to the service for a fee.

BTW, I study MBA in UTAR PJ campus.
