Great news to everyone. DiGi is officially launching iphone today. Nop…….I am not trying to play april fool tricks on you guys. My crystal ball says that it is going to happen.

Today – 31/3/2010, they are going to launch for pre-ordered customers & tomorrow – 1/4/2010, it is open for everyone :)

As for the pricing, it looks quite attractive too. The phone’s price is quite same with Maxis’s iPhone price but the bundled plan is something which you will find attractive. Well, not much to reveal for now, otherwise the excitement will not be there :p

Keep checking out on DiGi website & you will find out more on the crazy deals that DiGi is going to offer.

DiGi – “I will follow you” :)

I just got an e-mail from Nokia Malaysia. Guess what? My pre-order for Nokia N900 is now ready & I can collect it from any Nokia stores of my choice. This looks really tempting. Not only that, they also offer training to use this phone.

I should visit the stores later today & try out this device before purchasing it. I am always having a phobia to try out something new after had a bad experience with Windows Mobile (I just couldn’t get used to it).

All this while, Nokia was not planning to launch their latest giant, N900, in Malaysia. It was a great disappointment for many of the tech savvy guys & mobile freaks here. However, looks like finally Nokia Malaysia has decided to launch this model for Malaysian market.

This model was still sold in Malaysia but not from the official distributors. You have to actually buy an imported set which many would not prefer due to warranty factors & other reasons (including myself). It is a great pleasure to see now that this is going to be official. You can now find this model in Nokia Malaysia’s website – http://www.nokia.com.my/

This is now available for pre-order. The price will be RM2280 only which I feel is a great deal for a newly launched phone. Do you want to make an order now? Here you go – Nokia N900

Hey, did you manage to grab your BB from the roadshow which was held in Mid Valley recently. Well, that was a good deal actually. They were selling BB Bold 9700 & Curve 8520 there. During happy hours, there was also BB Bold 9000 & Curve 8900 being sold there. It was a good one from DiGi.

I manage to grab a Bold 9000 from the roadshow. Being a Bold 9700 user previously, I am actually enjoying my Bold 9000 more than the 9700. There are reasons behind it which I will explain in my other post, soon :)

As for the roadshow, there were many pluses & minuses. Let’s looks at the pluses 1st. Firstly, the phones were sold at dirt cheap price. It was actually a very good deal for everyone who bought a phone from there. As for the Bold 9700 & Curve 8520, many of you already know how was the pricing structure like. For Bold 9700, it was RM1999 (retail) or RM1649 (12 months) or RM1299 (24 months). Curve 8520 was sold at RM1299 (retail) or RM899 (12 months) or RM549 (24 months).

During the happy hour promotion, the Bold 9000 (the boldest phone, at least for me :p ) was sold at RM999 only (12 months). They were also selling Curve 8900 @ Javelin at RM699 only (12 months).

Many would think that it is a trap because of the contract tie but if you look at it, you are actually not losing money. Let’s take bold 9700 (24 months) for example. Actual price is RM1999 & 24 months contract is RM1299. You save a whooping amount of RM700. This RM700 is the fee that you pay for 12 months for your DiGi BIS.  :)

Ok, now we will look at the negative side. Firstly, it was a total mess there. Some of the promoters there didn’t have the product knowledge at all. They were actually giving wrong information to customers. When I purchased my Bold 9000, I was told at 1st that I cannot purchase it because I am already signed up to my Blackberry Smart Plan & I cannot sign up again for a contract. Luckily, I did some home work before going & I know very well that the promoter was wrong :)

Secondly, the T&C says that 1 phone for 1 NRIC only (which means 1 person can get only 1 phone at the offer price). What actually happened was, there were many people who manage to get more than 1 phone under 1 person. As for the billing, I am just wondering how would DiGi charge them :p

There were other hiccups during the roadshow like some of the phone models were out of stock, there were no place to sit, have to wait too long to get signed up etc, but overall it was a great event which should not be missed.

I wish DiGi would have more promotions like this in the future (with less hiccups of course :p )

Hi guys. As promised, DiGi has now introduced Blackberry Bold 9700. The retail price is RM1999 but you can get it for a discounted price if you sign a 12/24 months contract for their BB Smart plan.

You may click on the picture above to go to DiGi link. By the way, where can you grab your Bold 9700? There is a roadshow going on from 3rd to 7th March in Mid Valley Megamall. Go grab it with for as low as RM1299 :)

Wow, looks like DiGi is being competitive these days. First, they came up with Broadband & 3G. After that, they introduced Blackberry. Then they announced that they are going to introduce Blackberry Bold 9700 this March. Today, I thought that I actually went to the wrong site when I 1st saw, “iPhone 3Gs – Soon”

Nop, I am not wrong. I saw the correct one although I saw it in the wee hours of morning. I even pinched my self to confirm that I was not dreaming :)

Although they are not the 1st to introduce those devices & services, but they always come up with the lowest price for their services, e.g. Broadband & Blackberry plans. As for the devices, I’ve no idea because their 1st consumer BB device, the Curve 8520 is quite expensive compared to the other two telco.

Hopefully they give us some attractive price this time ;)

Below is the screenshot which I got from their website :
